У меня есть ListView и несколько столбцов фиксированного размера

длина текста, заполняемая столбцом, может превышать фиксированную длину столбца поэтому, когда пользователь останавливается на этом элементе ListviewItem, должна отображаться всплывающая подсказка, расширяющая элемент

Я пробовал

ListViewItem iListView = new ListViewItem("add");

iListView.ToolTipText = "Add Expanded";
myListView.Items.Add(iListView);

Но не использовать

Установите для свойства ListView ShowItemToolTips значение true.
