Панель инструментов прозрачной панели Android

Я создал ToolBar, который я установил как мой ActionBar, и у меня он прозрачный, мой вопрос: я хочу, чтобы он перекрывал остальную часть контента, прямо сейчас он действует как обычный ActionBar, где мой LinearLayout "останавливается" под ним. Как сделать мой ToolBar наложением моего макета и настроить этот макет на весь экран?

Стиль для оригинала ActionBar справедлив:

Вы на правильном пути. Самый простой способ сделать это - использовать FrameLayout, где содержимое ViewGroup будет match_parent, в то время как Toolbar находится поверх этого ViewGroup

В xml упорядочение макетов определяет "глубину". Перемещая панель инструментов под другими элементами, она будет накладываться на них.
