Отключение всех дочерних видов внутри макета

Я видел много потоков, связанных с этим, прежде чем отправлять мой вопрос. Но никто не работал у меня. У меня есть RelativeLayout со многими другими макетами и фрагментами в качестве детей. Я хочу отключить всех детей "content_view", а также самого содержимого content_view при нажатии кнопки. Я попробовал

contentView.setDisabled(false);

Это не сработало. Я также пробовал

    child.setEnabled(false);

Поскольку ваши макеты настолько сильно вложены, вам необходимо рекурсивно отключить представления. Вместо использования вашего метода попробуйте что-то вроде этого:

    layout.setEnabled(false);
    for (int i = 0; i < layout.getChildCount(); i++) {
        View child = layout.getChildAt(i);
        if (child instanceof ViewGroup) {
            disable((ViewGroup) child);
        } else {

затем вызовите:

disable(content_view);

Несмотря на то, что ответ ожидается вместо использования рекурсии, я думаю, что нижеприведенный код выполнит трюк. Это то, что я использовал для его вскрытия. Я просто передал parentlayout и показать или скрыть как логический параметр
