Тип ввода HTML5 = дата: можно ли открыть/закрыть сборщик дат с помощью JavaScript?

Я пытаюсь настроить элемент ввода типа HTML5 = "дата". Я хочу добавить отдельный щелчок на кнопке, который будет показывать видимость выпадающего списка выбора даты. Я не мог найти информацию об этом. Любая помощь очень ценится!
