ExpandableListView и NavigationDrawer - программирование

У меня довольно странная проблема. Моя логика проста, мое приложение использует NavigationDrawer для навигации по основным приложениям, и из-за сложности доступных опций я хочу использовать ExpandableListViev для размещения некоторых элементов навигации.

Проблема? Простой: список элементов загружается в ящик; однако они не расширяются, чтобы показать детей.

Вопрос Есть ли причина, по которой он не будет расширяться? Должен ли я использовать для этого другой виджет пользовательского интерфейса?

Некоторые заметки. Я добавил тот же код в другое действие, но вместо размещения ExpandableListViev в ящике я добавил его простым LinearLayout в качестве единственного элемента, и он работает хорошо.
