Intervention Image - как загружать изображения с типом MIME: application/octet-stream

Im использует структуру Laravel с библиотекой Intervention Image для загрузки и обработки изображений на моей странице. Все работает нормально, пока я не попытаюсь обновить .jpg изображения, снятые с мобильных устройств или с камер. Эти изображения имеют тип MIME application/octet-stream вместо image/jpeg. Когда я пытаюсь загрузить изображение с помощью этой команды:

Image::make($thumb)->resize($this->twidth, $this->theight)->save($this->destination."/".$filename);

Я получаю ошибку:

Unable to read image from file

Одно неудобное решение открыто, что изображения в MS Paint и сохраняют их, что изменит тип MIME на "image/jpeg" и позволит загрузить его. Но я хотел бы обойти это решение любой ценой.

Прежде всего включите входное пространство имен

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Input;

затем измените значение переменной $ thumb

$thumb = $inputFileObj->getRealPath();
